What happens if product void restrictions are enabled?
If the Restricting product voids option is enabled in the administration account (Account settings -> Company settings -> POS settings), a user who does not have the POS Manager role will need a manager's PIN for any of the following actions:
swipe left on a product on the receipt;
press and hold the product, then select Delete product or Void product;
press and hold the product, then select Edit product and decrease the quantity;
press and hold the product, then select Edit product and remove a priced modifier;
the three-dot button, then Void products.
The “Void product?” confirmation prompt appears BEFORE the PIN screen and is shown only once. If you cancel the confirmation, no PIN is requested and no manager is prompted unnecessarily.
A PIN is not required for: swipe right (increasing the quantity), increasing the quantity from Edit product, notes, serving order, adding a modifier, or deleting tip, voucher, or discount lines. POS Managers are never asked for a PIN.
