Where can I see my remaining protocol, as an employee? [Ebriza POS NEXT]

Written by Iulia

To see the remaining amount on the protocol, you need to go to the Ebriza POS application.

After logging in, selecting a table, and marking the products you want to include on the protocol, you need to click on the 3 dots in the lower left corner.

This will open a window with the command options. Here you need to click on Move to protocol.

In the next window, you must select the user for whom you want to add this consumption to the protocol.

On the right side of the user, you will see the amount they have left on Protocol.

If you have not set a limit, then Unlimited will appear next to the user. If you have set a limit, you will see how much you have left/the total amount of credit.

What Can Block a Protocol Payment

  • The table has a tip or a manually applied quick discount. The app rejects the payment with the message: “You cannot use the protocol payment method on a table with a tip or quick discount.” Quick discount and protocol cannot be combined on the same table — choose one or the other.

  • The table total exceeds the remaining protocol balance. The app displays “Insufficient protocol balance!” and rejects the full payment; it does not deduct the available amount partially. In this case, either increase the user’s limit, split the bill, or collect the difference using another payment method.

  • The user does not appear in the list. The selection list only includes users who have POS access, have a PIN set, and still have protocol available. If the user for whom you are applying the protocol is not the user currently logged in on the device, they must enter their own PIN.

Protocol and Fiscal Protocol Are Not the Same

Move the consumption to protocol from the order options to issue a non-fiscal payment note — no fiscal receipt is issued. Fiscal Protocol is a separate payment method, available if enabled in the POS payment settings, and it issues a fiscal receipt. If you need a fiscal receipt for protocol consumption, use Fiscal Protocol.
