Ebriza POS Next for iOS supports integration with the Cashmatic cash machine, so cash payments are processed automatically at the device: the customer inserts the money and the machine dispenses the change, without the operator having to count cash or hand out change manually.
Supported devices
Ebriza POS Next is compatible with Cashmatic cash machines connected on the same local network as the till.
Usage requirements
Before configuration, make sure that:
the Cashmatic device is powered on, connected to the same Wi-Fi/LAN as the device running Ebriza POS Next, and reachable from that device;
the HTTP protocol is enabled in the Cashmatic device settings. With HTTP enabled, the device API responds on port 80. (Port 50301 is the machine's fixed port for the HTTPS protocol and is only used if you choose to stay on HTTPS.)
you know the machine's local IP address (with the HTTP protocol enabled, the default port is 80);
you have the Cashmatic API user and password on hand (the factory defaults are user cashmatic, password admin; if these have been changed by your Cashmatic supplier, use the new values).
Adding the Cashmatic in Ebriza POS Next
To add the cash machine in the app:
1. Open the Ebriza POS Next app.
2. Go to the Devices menu.
3. Tap Add peripheral.
4. In the Payment terminals section, select Cashmatic.
5. Fill in the required fields (see the next section).
6. Save.
Configuring the Cashmatic
After you select the device, the app asks for the following settings:
Port — the port the device listens on. With the HTTP protocol enabled on the device, the default is 80. (Enter 50301 only if the device stays on the HTTPS protocol.)
User — the user account for API access. Default is cashmatic.
Password — the password for the user above. Default is admin.
The device's IP address is taken automatically from the standard peripheral IP field and does not need to be entered here.
Processing a cash payment through Cashmatic
Once Cashmatic is configured on a till, a cash payment flows as follows:
At checkout, select Cash as the payment method and submit the bill for payment.
The POS shows the message "Insert cash in the machine. The payment can only be stopped from the machine."
The customer inserts banknotes and coins into the Cashmatic.
The machine computes the change, dispenses it automatically, and Ebriza closes the bill and issues the fiscal receipt.
Important: while the collection prompt is on screen, the payment cannot be cancelled from the app. To stop the transaction, use the Cashmatic device screen. After you cancel from the machine, you can retry the bill in the POS with a different payment method.
What happens on problems?
The app surfaces the following situations:
Device offline — the message „The cash machine is offline!" appears when the app cannot reach the machine on the network. Check power, network cable or Wi-Fi connection, that the HTTP protocol is enabled on the device, and that the configured port is correct (80 with HTTP), then try the payment again.
Device error — the message „Cash machine error: <details>. Please retry or change payment type." appears when Cashmatic reports an error during the transaction (for example a jammed banknote, folded note or blocked sensor). Any money already inserted is returned by the device, and the bill stays unpaid — you can retry with Cash after fixing the problem, or switch to another payment method.
Change not fully dispensed — the message „Change not fully dispensed" appears when the machine does not have enough coins or notes in its change hopper to give the full difference. Ebriza shows the shortfall amount; hand it out manually from the drawer.
