CONNECTION:

The Datecs FP-700 fiscal printer connects directly to the router using a network cable. Then, connect the device to the same internet network as the fiscal printer.

This is the only supported connection method. Ebriza communicates with the fiscal printer ONLY through the local network (LAN), using the same router as the tablet. Bluetooth is NOT supported: a fiscal printer connected via Bluetooth will not receive an IP address and cannot be found when searching from the application.

CONFIGURATION:

To configure the fiscal printer over LAN, the DUDE / Config_Tool application is required. Datecs provides the DUDE application for the FP-700.

  1. Connect the fiscal printer to the computer.

  2. Open the Config_Tool application.

  3. In the connection window, select the port to which the printer is connected and the communication speed.

  4. Click Connect.

  5. After connecting, access the Network section.

  6. Configure the network parameters for the LAN connection.

  7. Save the configuration.

The Network section in Config_Tool allows you to configure the device's network parameters for communication over LAN.

After configuring the LAN connection, the printer must be connected to the router using the network cable, and the Ebriza device must be connected to the same local network.

To find the IP address:

  1. Press BACK.

  2. Select DIAGNOSTIC.

  3. Press FEED.

The printer will print the diagnostic report, where the IP address is displayed.

INSTALLATION:

To install the fiscal printer, follow the steps below:

  1. From the bottom of the application, select Devices.

  2. In the upper-left section, select Printers and peripherals.

  3. Click Add device in the upper-right corner.

  4. Select the Datecs FP-700 model.

  5. The application will search for the printer on the network using its IP address.

  6. Once the printer is detected, click the displayed result. This should be the IP address of the fiscal printer.

  7. Set the printer details:

    • Give the fiscal printer an easily recognizable name.

    • Select the room from which you want the fiscal receipts to be issued (Optional).
