The receipt is already paid and the fiscal receipt is printed. Can I still change the customer?
Yes. Payment, closing the receipt and a printed fiscal receipt do not lock the buyer — there is no fiscal rule that locks the customer once the order has been collected.
The only thing that hides the two options is an invoice already issued on that receipt. If you have collected the order and the customer now asks for the invoice to be made out to their company, go to Receipts and use Replace with another client, following the steps below.
When are the options available?
The Update client details and Replace with another client options appear only when:
the receipt already has a client assigned, and
no invoice has been issued on the receipt.
If the receipt has no client at all, the options do not appear. A client is
attached the first time you issue an invoice - the POS asks you for one then.
The POS only shows receipts from the last 6 days. For an older receipt, use the admin account, Sales menu.
Where do I find the options?
Go to the Receipts section and long-press the receipt. Alternatively, tap the
receipt to open it, then tap the Receipt Actions button in the top-right corner.
Option 1: Update client details
Use this when the client is the right one but their details are wrong or incomplete - a wrong VAT ID, or a missing address, for example.
Steps:
Open the actions menu on the receipt.
Select Update client details.
Read the confirmation message and tap Continue.
Edit the details in the form and save.
What happens:
The client record is updated in the Clients app, on all your devices and on future orders.
The current receipt is updated, so the invoice you issue from it will show
the corrected details.Receipts and invoices that were already issued are NOT changed. Every receipt keeps the details it was issued with, so your history stays intact.
That is why the app asks you to confirm: the change does not stop at the
receipt in front of you, it also updates the client going forward.
Option 2: Replace with another client
Use this when the receipt has an entirely different client than it should -
a generic customer, or another table's customer, for example.
Steps:
Open the actions menu on the receipt.
Select Replace with another client.
Search for the client by name, VAT ID or phone number and select them. If they do not exist yet, you can create them with +Add new client.
What happens:
Only the current receipt moves to the new client.
No client record is modified - neither the old one nor the new one.
Other receipts are not affected.
Orders from delivery integrations (Wolt, Glovo, etc.)
On orders received through a delivery integration, the client on the receipt is
usually a generic customer shared by every order from that provider. If you
need to invoice the customer's real company, use Replace with another client - that way the generic customer is left untouched and other orders are not affected.
The same applies to orders that come in from your own website or through any other online ordering integration: the customer on the receipt is the person who placed the order, usually an individual. If they want the invoice made out to their company, use Replace with another client and search for the company by VAT ID or name.
I have already issued the invoice. What now?
If the receipt already has an invoice, the two options no longer appear. An
invoice is an issued document and cannot be re-assigned to a different buyer.
Cancel the invoice and issue it again with the correct client.
If you try the action anyway (for example if the invoice was issued from
another device in the meantime), you will get the message: "You can't edit the buyer - an invoice has already been issued on this receipt. Cancel and re-issue the invoice instead."
