Uninstalling apps

How can I uninstall certain apps which I no longer use

Written by Andrei

In order to uninstall apps from Ebriza all you need to do is to go to the menu point "Account Settings" and the first page will be the "Billing" tab.

On the bottom of this page you will see a list with all of the apps installed in your company and you can choose the ones you want to uninstall.

What happens if you have an unpaid invoice

The “Uninstall” button stays visible on the app’s row even when your account has an overdue invoice — it does not disappear or become hidden.

When you press it, Ebriza first asks you to settle the outstanding amount: a window opens showing the amount due, with a payment button. Once the payment goes through, the uninstall process continues from where it left off.

If you choose “Not now” instead of paying, nothing is uninstalled, and the button remains available so you can resume the process later.

The same payment request also appears when you simply open the Billing page if you have an outstanding balance.

The only situation in which the “Uninstall” button is genuinely not displayed is when Ebriza has blocked the account after repeated failed payments. This is different from an account that simply has an overdue invoice. In that case too, the buttons return once the outstanding balance is paid.

Another reason an uninstall does not complete

If another installed app depends on the app you are trying to remove, a message appears naming those dependent apps. Those apps must be uninstalled first, after which you can uninstall the app you wanted.

Exception — the 3 main subscription packages (Pro, Premium, Titanium)

The main subscription packages cannot be uninstalled and do not have an uninstall option. If you want to switch to another package, simply install the desired package over the current one from the Marketplace — there is no uninstall step required. The account always needs a main subscription package installed in order to function.

The Marketplace only allows you to install applications — there is no uninstall option there. Uninstallation can only be done from Account Settings → Billing, as described above.

What You Lose When You Uninstall an App

Uninstalling an app is not just a billing change: once the app is no longer installed, you will no longer have access to the features it provided in your account.

For example, if you uninstall the Insights app, the Insights category will disappear from the Reports section, and the reports within it will no longer be available — including custom reports configured for you by the Ebriza support team. If you use reports from the Insights category, please contact us before uninstalling the app.
