Insights application

Written by Ionut

After installing the Insights application from the Marketplace, you will benefit from an additional suite of reports, which can be found in the Insights category in the Reports section of your admin account:

Delivery Trend: Track the performance of delivery platforms in parallel.

Product Trend: Monitor the performance of best-selling products over time intervals.

Delivery Orders: Track all orders from delivery applications and filter by platform.

Product Type and VAT Rates: Track sales broken down by VAT rates and product type: goods/finished products/services.

Sales by Rooms: Monitor sales broken down by rooms within the location.

Purchase Cost Trend: Track the evolution of purchase prices for your stocks.

Additionally, you can request assistance for configuring all the customized reports you need from the Ebriza support team.

Once saved, custom reports can be accessed anytime, both on the web and in the Ebriza OPS mobile app!

When Do I Need a Custom Report and How Do I Request One?

There is one simple test: is there a standard report that contains everything you need? If so, use it. If the standard report only gives you part of the information - for example, only the total, while you need a breakdown by products, categories, employees, or protocol - then you need a custom report. It doesn’t matter how you phrase the request: “I want to see how many units of each product were issued under protocol last week” is still a request for a custom report.

Custom reports are delivered through the Insights application and configured by the Ebriza Support team. To make sure we can build it correctly from the start, tell us two things:

  • what type of report you need - for example, sales by product, employee activity, or protocol broken down by product;

  • which columns the report should contain - for example, product name, quantity, value, date, user, location.

Tell us also the period for which you will use it most often — for example, the current day, the previous day, or the last 7 days. This period is saved in the report and becomes the date range the report opens with each time. Once configured, the report remains saved in your account and can be run at any time, both on the web and in the Ebriza OPS mobile app.

The period the custom report opens with:

Each custom report has a time range saved in its configuration — for example, Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Current month, or a fixed range between two dates. The range is selected by the Ebriza colleague who configures your report, based on the period you specify when submitting your request.

That is the period the report opens with every time you access it. You can manually change the date range in the report to view any other period you want, but the change applies only to the current view: the next time you access the report, it will reopen using the period saved in its configuration.

Relative periods are recalculated automatically each time the report is opened: Today always means the current day, while Last 7 days always means the last 7 days relative to today. What never changes automatically is the saved value: a report configured for Yesterday will always show the previous day, regardless of how much time passes. A fixed range between two calendar dates will always show exactly those dates.

If the report opens with a different period than the one you need, contact us and we will change the date range in the report configuration. It is a simple setting change, and we can update it quickly. After refreshing the page, the report will open directly with the desired period.

Frequently asked questions:

Q: Can I see sales for each individual table?

A: There is no report that displays sales per table. You have two close options:

  1. By room — install the Insights app from the Marketplace and use the Sales by Rooms report.

  2. By table (individually) — in the POS app, open Menu → Receipts and check each receipt; the receipt details show the associated table.

Q: How do I see which products I sold at each VAT rate (including the 0 rate)?

A: You have two options:

  1. Report — install the Insights app from the Marketplace and use the Product Type and VAT Rates report, which breaks down sales by VAT rate and product type (goods / finished product / service).

  2. Check in the Nomenclature — in Menu → Nomenclature, check the VAT rate assigned to each product. The 0% rate usually appears for Tip or Guarantee type services.

Q: The standard report only shows me the total, not the products. Can it be broken down?

A: Yes, through a custom report. The standard report cannot display columns that it does not contain, and the table view only changes the way the information is displayed; it does not add data. Tell us what type of report you need and which columns it should contain, and we’ll configure it for you in Insights.

Q: My custom report always shows the previous day, even though I want the current day. Is this an error?
A: No, it is a setting. Your report is configured with the Yesterday period, which is the period it opens with every time. You can manually change the date range for the current view, but the next time you access the report, it will return to the saved value. Contact us and we will change the report configuration to Today; after refreshing the page, it will open directly on the current day.

Q:How can I see which products I sold under each VAT rate (including 0%)?

A: You have two options:

  • Report – install the Insights app from the Marketplace and use the Product Type and VAT Rates report, which breaks down sales by VAT rate and product type (merchandise / finished product / service). The report is available under Reports → Insights as long as the app is installed and active on the account; if the app is uninstalled, the category and the reports within it can no longer be viewed.

  • Check in the Product Catalog – go to Menu → Product Catalog and check the VAT rate assigned to each product. The 0% rate usually appears for services such as Tip or Deposit.
