Notifications in Ebriza POS NEXT

Find out what types of notifications are available in the POS and how they can help you in your daily operations.

To access your notifications, simply tap the bell icon in the upper-right corner when you are on the floor plan screen.

By opening this menu, you will be able to view all received messages.

Available Notification Types

The new POS notification system keeps you informed in real time about important situations that may affect your restaurant’s operations.

To view the available notification types, click here.

  • For the cash register area, you will receive alerts when the printer runs out of paper, when the Z report has not been printed in the last 24 hours, or when the device is disconnected.

  • For the restaurant snooze function, you will be notified when the venue is closed or reopened, as well as when communication errors occur with delivery providers, causing the restaurant status to not update correctly.

  • For delivery orders, the system sends notifications when an order is canceled by the provider, rejected by a user, or when the automatic acceptance feature is enabled or disabled.

  • Regarding product availability, you will receive alerts when a product, category, or ingredient becomes unavailable, as well as when an unavailable product is added to a receipt.

These notifications help you respond quickly and avoid disruptions in the sales process.

iOS Notification Permission

The notifications above are always visible inside the app, under the bell icon in the upper-right corner. To also receive notifications on the iPad screen while the app is not in the foreground, iOS needs notification permission, which is requested only once, the first time the app is opened.

If “Don't Allow” was tapped then, iOS will never ask again on its own. For this reason, in recent versions, Ebriza POS and Ebriza KDS show you the “Allow Notifications” dialog, reading: “Without this permission, you will not be alerted about new delivery orders, printer problems, or unavailable products while the app is in the background. Open Settings to enable notifications?” If you accept, you are taken straight to the Ebriza app's Notifications page in iOS Settings, where you turn on “Allow Notifications”. The dialog comes back periodically while the app is open, until the permission is granted.

You can also enable it manually at any time: Settings → Notifications → select the Ebriza app → turn on “Allow Notifications”.

The CDS (Customer Display) app does not use system notifications, so it does not show you this dialog when the app starts.
