Ebriza POS Next for iOS supports integration with Viva Wallet (physical POS terminals) and GP TOM (SoftPOS), enabling fast and automated card payments directly from the sales application.
Which App the Integration Is Available In
On Apple devices (iPad and iPhone), integration with Viva Wallet payment terminals is available exclusively in Ebriza POS NEXT. The old Ebriza POS app for iOS does not have this feature.
If you are still using the old app on an iPad, install Ebriza POS NEXT from the App Store (minimum 10-inch screen) and configure the terminal in the new app, following the steps below.
In the old app, integration with the Viva Wallet A910 terminal is available only on Android devices — the steps are described in the article “Viva Wallet Android POS A910 [Ebriza OLD POS]”: https://help.ebriza.com/en/articles/5427193.
Supported payment terminals
Viva Wallet (Physical POS)
Ebriza POS Next is compatible with the following Viva Wallet terminal models:
CS50C
PAX A8900
PAX A910
PAX A920
GP TOM (SoftPOS)
GP TOM is a SoftPOS application that turns an iPhone with NFC capability into a payment terminal, eliminating the need for a physical POS device.
Usage requirements
Before configuration, ensure that:
for Viva Wallet integration, you are using one of the supported terminal models: CS50C, PAX A8900, PAX A910, or PAX A920;
for GP TOM integration, the device is an iPhone with NFC support, as the SoftPOS solution only works on Apple devices equipped with this feature.
Configuring the payment terminal
To add a payment terminal in Ebriza POS Next:
Open the Ebriza POS Next app.
Go to the Devices menu.
Tap Add peripheral.
In the Payment terminals section, select one of the available options:
Viva Wallet
GP TOM
Note:
When you open the GP TOM device settings page in the Devices menu on iOS, Ebriza automatically displays a reminder that this peripheral can only be used with NFC-enabled devices. You can also tap the info button (the circle-i icon) in the top-right corner of that page at any time to see the message again.
Once configured, the terminal will be ready to process card payments.
In addition to card payment terminals, in the same Payment terminals section you can also add the Cashmatic cash machine for automatic cash collection. The configuration details and the Cashmatic payment flow are described in a separate article: Integration of the Cashmatic cash machine with [Ebriza POS Next] on iOS.
Assigning Viva Wallet terminals to rooms
If your location has multiple rooms (e.g. Indoor, Terrace, Floor) and you want each Viva Wallet terminal to automatically serve a specific room, you can configure this directly in Ebriza.
To set it up:
Go to the Devices menu.
Select the desired Viva Wallet terminal.
Tap Print rules configuration.
Select the room that should be assigned to that terminal.
After configuration, orders from the selected room will automatically be routed to the assigned payment terminal.
Processing a card payment
When issuing a fiscal receipt and selecting Card payment, Ebriza automatically sends the transaction amount to the configured payment terminal.
The customer completes the payment on the terminal, and once approved, the transaction is finalized in the system.
Printing the payment receipt
In addition to the fiscal receipt, Ebriza allows you to print the payment receipt issued by the terminal.
This feature is optional and can be enabled or disabled according to your preference. It is provided for merchants who wish to offer customers an additional proof of card payment alongside the fiscal receipt.
Voiding a payment (refund)
There are two ways to access the void option from the Receipts menu:
Option 1 – via long press:
Go to the Receipts menu.
Find the receipt you want to void.
Press and hold the receipt until the quick-action menu appears.
Select Void order.
Option 2 – via the receipt action panel:
Go to the Receipts menu.
Tap the receipt you want to void.
In the action panel displayed at the bottom of the screen, tap Void order.
Note:
The Void order option only appears if the card payment has not already been voided.
Important notes
If the tips (gratuity) option is enabled on the Viva Wallet terminal and the customer chooses to leave a tip, the tip amount will be automatically transmitted to Ebriza POS Next. There is no need to manually register the tip in Ebriza.
When using multiple Viva Wallet terminals, we recommend configuring room-based assignment rules so that each transaction is automatically routed to the correct terminal.
If the cancelled receipt has already been fiscalized (i.e. it has been issued on the cash register), cancellation is not the only step required. The receipt remains permanently stored in the cash register’s fiscal memory, so the Z report for that day will show an amount higher than the sales recorded in Ebriza by exactly the value of the cancelled receipt.
For the cancelled receipt, you must manually prepare a handwritten cancellation report and keep it attached to the Z report for that day. This is the document that justifies the difference and ensures that the day is properly closed. The cancellation and the report can be completed entirely at your location; there is no need for intervention from Ebriza Support.
For details and other situations involving the cancellation of a fiscal receipt, see the article “Cancelling a Fiscal Receipt.”
The steps above apply to a terminal integrated with Ebriza (Viva Wallet or GP TOM configured in the Devices menu): Ebriza sends the cancellation request directly to the terminal, so the card is refunded through the same action.
If you are using a terminal that is not integrated with Ebriza (for example, a terminal provided by your bank), the cancellation only corrects the transaction in Ebriza, while the refund must be processed directly on the terminal or through the bank.
