Note: Before use, modifiers must be configured under Catalog → Modifiers. The association with the product (the button where the modifier appears in the POS) is also made there: open the modifier, go to the Source section, and add the product using “+ Add source”. There is no modifier section in the product screen. For more details, see the “Modifiers” article.
Selecting Modifiers
From the sales screen, select the product that has modifiers assigned (for example, Combo Burger BOX).
The list of available modifier options will be displayed.
How Selection Rules Work
The application's behavior depends on the Minimum and Maximum selection values configured for the modifier.
Case 1: Minimum 1 – Maximum 1
Once you select an option, the application automatically moves to the next modifier.
Example: If the customer must choose one drink, selecting it will automatically open the next modifier category.
Case 2: Minimum 1 – Maximum 2 (or any configuration allowing multiple selections)
After selecting the first option, you can:
select additional options, if allowed;
continue to the next modifier by tapping the right arrow.
To return to the previous modifier, tap the left arrow.
Changing the Quantity of a Modifier Option
If the same modifier option can be selected multiple times:
Select the desired option.
Press and hold the option.
Tap Change Quantity.
Set the desired quantity: either use the + and − buttons or click directly on the displayed number, which opens the “Set Value” dialog where you enter the quantity and press OK. Then confirm.
Example: If a customer wants two portions of the same side dish, you can increase its quantity instead of selecting it again.
Completing the Selection
After configuring all desired modifiers:
Review the selected options.
Tap Add to Receipt to add the configured product to the receipt.
Adding Multiple Identical Products
If you want to add the same product with the exact same modifier configuration multiple times:
Set the desired value using the Quantity button.
Tap Add to Receipt.
All selected quantities will be added using the same modifier configuration.
Adding a Note to a Product
To add a special instruction for a product (for example, No onions, Well done, or any other preparation note), select the product and tap Notes. Enter the desired text and save your changes.
Where the selected options are printed
Selected options are printed according to the tag of the product chosen as the option, not according to the tag of the main product. If the option has its own tag (for example bar), it goes to the printer or the KDS section configured with that tag. If the option has no tag at all, it stays listed under the main product, on the same preparation receipt.
Important: if you add a tag to a product used as an option, there must also be a printer or a KDS rule configured with that tag. Otherwise, the option will not be printed anywhere. For setup details, see the article “How do I create printing rules for printers? [Ebriza POS NEXT]”.
Modifying modifiers on a product already added to the receipt
To change the modifiers of a product that has already been added to the receipt, press and hold the product and select Modify product. You can add, remove, or replace options, then save your changes. The receipt keeps a single line, at the product's price.
Modify product works only while the product is in the active session, that is, until you press OK and the order is sent to the kitchen. On an unpaid counter bill, products stay in the active session until payment. Once the order has been sent to the kitchen, Modify product appears greyed out, with a lock icon, on that product. If the Restrict product voiding option is enabled in the admin account, removing a priced modifier is treated as a void: when you save, you will be asked for a POS Manager PIN, but only if the total value of the paid modifiers on that line decreases. Replacing an option with one of equal or greater value (for example, Cheese 5 lei → Bacon 7 lei) does not require a PIN, and free modifiers (with a global price) never require a PIN.
Changing the drink or side in a menu
IFor menu or combo products, the drink, side or sauce are options of the menu, not products added separately. On the fiscal receipt, however, each chosen option appears as its own line — at 0 lei if it is included in the menu price (the "Has global price" tick in Product catalogue → Modifiers) — and this line cannot be hidden. If the customer wants a different drink:
If the menu is still in the active session, press and hold the menu, select Modify product, replace the option and save.
If the menu has already been sent to the kitchen, void the menu (press and hold it and select Void product), then add the menu again and choose the correct drink.
Do not add the new drink as a separate product on the receipt. A drink added separately is charged at its own price on top of the menu price, even though the menu already included it.
