If the Restricting product voids option is enabled, both swiping left and voiding from the three-dot menu require a POS Manager's PIN. The “Void product?” confirmation appears before the PIN screen — if you cancel at that point, no manager is prompted.
Check out a quick list of actions you can apply to products marked in Ebriza POS:
How can I add notes to products?
To add notes, press and hold the desired product, select “Apply product notes”, write the note, and save it. The note will then be displayed under the product.
2. How can I increase the quantity of products added to the list?
To increase the quantity of products added to the list, you have the following options:
Press and hold the product, select Change product, and a new window will open where you can set the desired quantity.
Swipe right to quickly increase the product quantity.
Attention: the Edit product window can also be used to decrease the quantity. If the Restricting product voids option is enabled in the administration account, you will be asked for a POS Manager's PIN when saving the change to decrease the quantity. Increasing the quantity remains unrestricted.
3. How can I remove a product that has already been marked as ordered?
If the products have already been marked on the table and saved, you will need to go to the button with the 3 dots next to the payment buttons. Tap on it and then click on Void products.
A new window will pop up with the items on your receipt. To remove a product, click the + button next to it and save it with the blue Save button.
If the Restricting product voids option is enabled, both swiping left and voiding from the three-dot menu require a POS Manager's PIN. The “Void product?” confirmation appears before the PIN screen — if you cancel at that point, no manager is prompted.
4. When does the app ask me for a POS Manager's PIN?
If the Restricting product voids option is enabled in the administration account (Account settings -> Company settings -> POS settings), the app asks for a POS Manager's PIN for any action that removes a product from the receipt or decreases its value: swiping left, press and hold -> Delete product / Void product, decreasing the quantity from Edit product, removing a priced modifier from Edit product, and voiding from the three-dot menu.
Actions that do not decrease the value of the receipt remain unrestricted: swiping right, increasing the quantity, adding notes, the serving order, and adding a modifier. Deleting tip, voucher, or discount lines does not require a PIN. POS Managers are never asked for a PIN.
5. How do I correct a product quantity after the order has been sent to the kitchen?
Products sold by kg or per 100 g
For products that are weighed after preparation (fish, meat, seafood, cakes sold by kg), you usually enter an estimated quantity, send the order to the kitchen, and find out the actual quantity after weighing. At that point, the product is no longer in the active session, so you can no longer edit its quantity using Modify product.
You have two correct options:
Add a new item with the difference. Mark the same product again, using the quantity that is missing. The receipt will show two lines with the same product, but the total amount and total quantity will be correct. This is the quickest option and does not require a PIN.
Void the product and mark it again with the exact quantity, if you want to have a single line for the product on the receipt. Press and hold the product, select Void product (or swipe left and then tap the void button), and confirm. Then mark the product again using the weighed quantity.
If you choose the void option, keep three things in mind: if the Product void restriction option is enabled in the administration account, the app will require a POS Manager's PIN; the voided product remains recorded and can be seen in the list of voided products; and the next time the order is saved, a new kitchen order ticket will be printed, including the voided item. It is therefore a good idea to notify the kitchen staff so they do not prepare the product a second time.
If the product can be weighed before sending the order, enter the exact weight directly.
