How do I create printing rules for printers? [Ebriza POS NEXT]

Written by Diana

Now you can choose what types of receipts you want each non-fiscal printer to print, as well as for which rooms and tags they should be printed.

To set the printing rules for printers, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Devices section

2. From the list, click on the non-fiscal printer you want

3. Go to the Print Rules section - Configure print rules

4. Select the types of receipts you want the printer to issue by checking the options on the page— print bill, preparation order, delivery bill, order cancellation bill

NEW: For the preparation order, you can choose which rooms to print on and which product tags to include.

IMPORTANT: You can ONLY add these print settings for rooms and tags to preparation orders.

Now that you've selected the options you want, all you have to do is click the Save button at the bottom.

To change the font on your receipts, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Others section.

  2. Open Settings → Receipt templates.

  3. In the window that opens, select the receipt you want to change the font for:

    • Bill

    • Delivery

    • Preparation

    • Preparation cancellation

  4. Adjust the font, then tap Save.

Troubleshooting: order receipt doesn't print

Issues usually come from incorrectly configured tags or improper printer configuration. Follow the steps below:

1. Check product tags

Go to Catalog and make sure each product has the correct tag for its preparation area (e.g. kitchen), without diacritics, extra spaces, or spelling variations.

2. Check printer settings

Go to Devices and select the relevant printer. In Print Rules, enter the exact same tag used in the Catalog (e.g. kitchen). Tags in the Catalog must be identical to those in the printer settings for routing to work correctly.

3. Button with mixed products (food + drinks)

When a product has the kitchen tag, it will be printed automatically on the non-fiscal printer configured with the same tag, even if it was added from a button that also contains drink products. Just verify tag consistency.

4. If there was a recent power outage

Printers may have changed their IP address after a power outage. Go to Devices, delete the existing printers (long-press on each), then add them again using Add Device, selecting the correct model.

For Ebriza POS application version only:

Why don't order tickets print for tables in a newly created room?

This happens when you have room-based print rules set, and the room you want order tickets printed for is not ticked.

Do the following:

  1. Go to POS Settings → Printers and Peripherals.

  2. Select the printer.

  3. Under Print rules - printer rooms, add the room you want order tickets printed for.

  4. Save.
